abnormal urine with IPN

Nurses Recovery

Published

I had a abnormal urine ( out of range creatinine) 2 days ago. This will be the second in one year, had the last September 2016.

I am about to complete a 5 year contract with IPN in August. I was going to apply to get out in July. The new policy of Florida IPN is 6 months of consecutive clear negative urines.

which would mean my contract would be extended till October.

I was so excited to go to my 30 years high school reunion end of August to celebrate.

I followed the instructions they gave to empty my bladder 2 hours before then I drank 16 oz of protein shake. I think I drank it too fast. I don't know what I did different.

I am so upset. I have been jumping through hoops since 2006 from California program. I have been tested with PEth test every 2- 3 months because of problems with etg always showing in my urine(long story)

What sucks is now I will have increased testing for the next 3 months - 4 months on top of expensive PEth.

I know I can get through this. I am just frustrated. Some nurses never have problems with testing no matter what they do.

I was going to start training for Flight attendant in July. That is what I want to do with my career. But I have worked so hard to save my license.

Just frustrated

Thank you! Yes it was the PEth, I caught on quickly when she was washing my arm to draw blood with soap and water instead of an alcohol pad ;) Not sure why I had it. I haven't had any abnormal or dilute urines since 1 dilute in December 2016. Just my luck broke as hell & they kick me while I'm down :-/

The results can be anywhere from 5 - 9 days for results. Also it might say test received (partial-result). That is normal when its in testing.

Gabby3 thank you for all the information, it is much appreciated í ½í¸Š
