ability to transport narcotics

Is it legal for a LPN to pu a narcotic at a phamacy and deliver it to a patient, in the state of Florida.

Yes LPN's are permitted to secure and administer narcotics in the state of florida along with any other state in the country. The only restriction would be they can not "administer IV" narcotics but they can obtain them for the RN to give also. Consider too that some LPN's are IV certified and can perform some IV task. There have been incidents where I was the only RN on the floor and the LPN had to go to the pharmacy to obtain the meds needed if something we didnt have routinely in the lock box.
