I belong to several organizations including AANP. I also belong to my state's APRN organization as well as ANNA (American Nephrology Nurses Association), ENA (Emergency Nurses Association) and AACN (American Association of Critical Care Nurses).
They all provide journals and lots of electronic updates. As you get your first job and realize where your interests lie, you can then decide which ones to join. However, I recommend state APRN organizations always as they are your voice in your legislature.

I recently registered for the 2019 AANP conference in Indianapolis. My employer allows me some CME funds and while I usually go to a neonatal specialty conference, I decided to branch out this year. There are some great maternal topics and I'm very curious about the policy-level stuff.
Anyone else planning to go, want to have a meetup?
