So as of late I have been thinking about becoming an RN, or LPN. I have a few draw backs which will kill me no matter what I do. I have no memory really at all. So for the chemistry it will kill me if I have to memorize the periodic table like weights and such. Anyhow the school I am wanting to go to is West Liberty University. On their site this is the schedule:
WEST LIBERTY UNIVERSITY NURSING ENTRY-LEVEL STUDENT BSN CURRICULUM PLAN FALL SPRING FRESHMAN (or Pre-nursing) BIO 105/106 OR BIO 124/125 4 CHEM 100/101, CHEM 110/111 OR PHYS 190/191 4 * ENG. 101 3 ENG. 102 3 HISTORY 3 COM 101 3 PSYCH 101 3 GEO/POLS/SOC 3 GEO/POLS/SS 3 FINE ARTS 3 P.E. 1 16 17 Bolded courses listed above in the pre-nursing year must be completed prior to being considered for admittance to the Nursing Program. *Students scoring less than 18 in English on the ACT are required to take Eng 075, Eng 101 and Eng 102; **Students scoring less than 19 in Math on the ACT are required to take Math 046 or write the ASSET test before taking Math 160 and HS 101. A minimum of 28 hours and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 is also required. SOPHOMORE BIO 212 4 BIO 214 2 PSYC 252 3 BIO 216 3 HS 101 1 BIO 330 3 NUR 200 2 NUR 210 3 NUR 201 2 NUR 211 3 NUR 270 2 NUR 250 2 LIT 3 NUR 246 1 17 17 JUNIOR NUR 306 5 NUR 275 3 NUR 307 4 NUR 340 5 NUR 320 3 NUR 341 4 NUR 308 2 NUR 360 3 14 15 SENIOR PHIL/REL/FL 3 ** MATH 160 3 GBUS/ECON 3 HS 420 2 NUR 430 4 NUR 472 3 NUR 431 3 NUR 481 4 NUR 404 3 NUR 445 2 HS 300 3 14 19
Could someone please give me a rundown of what these are? What are the differences between the chemestry, and biology classes. Why do they say "or" what ones will be easiest for someone who has a memory problem.
I am A softmore going on a Junour. I make C's and D's and B's. So for example this year my grades are C in geometry(brought it up in the last month from an F(0.2) to a C 2.47! Health I had a low b 2.8, Histroy 3.4 A, I had another Math Class for failing state testing I had a C in it it was a 1.8. I have a 3.9 A in gym, 3.98 in my A+ OS computer class, a 3.2 A in English Language Arts, and a 1.0 D in Biology(I'm going to study harder and prepair harder starting after break I didn't do what I should have, that's the bad student in me).
Anyhow, could someone please explain what the difference in the bio, and chemistry classes are for me? Also, a rundown briefing of the nursing classes. Also, what is going on; do you think I can do the nursing? My mom is a retired CNA of 18 years and my Step-dad is a CNA going on 22 years now. I know there are a difference. I asked my school councilors they just told me to ask other people so I came here lol.
Thanks for bearing with me.

Are you currently a student at this university?
If you are, you will need a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, based upon a minimum of 28 credit hours.
It looks a though there are a few pre-requisite courses:
Bio 105/106 OR BIO 124/125
Eng 101 AND 102
**If your ACT English score is lower than 18, you will need to take Eng 075 AND 101
Chem 100/101 OR Chem 110/111
Psyc 101
DEV Math (if ACT math score is lower than 19)
The website layout of this university is not very intuitive and I gave up looking for course listings.
Do you know what your ACT scores and subscores are?
I am sorry but I am having a difficult time comprehending parts of your post.
I'm still in high school. I am a softmore. I haven't taken any of those college entrance tests. I will take ACT or SAT next year, and the following year.
Not sure if this is aloud but: http://go.westliberty.edu/health-sciences/academics/nursing/curriculum-plan/
That is the layout for the scheduling or whatever.
What is the difference between chem: 101/102 and 110/111; bio 105/106, and 124/125?
Sorry for my bad explaining.
I am really not certain what the differences are between the courses required.
My guess (and this is pure speculation) is that the lower numbered chem courses may be for health sciences majors, while the higher numbered courses are geared toward science majors.
For example, the university that I graduated from offered three different sets of chemistry courses, aimed at health sciences/non-biological science majors, biological science majors, and chemistry/chemical engineering majors.
If you are looking for the "easier" route, it may be to your benefit to enroll in the lower level (but still acceptable) chemistry courses.
It's a shame that your high school counselors cannot provide more help and advice to you. Have you tried contacting the university?
It seems at my school everyone goes into business...it was the same for my computer career path. it sucks.
do you think i could do it? ik it will be difficult but keeping in mind i have a hard time with remembering things like numbers and so many.
Since I don't know you, I cannot really say one way or another whether you can do it or not.
I probably have the unpopular opinion that not everyone can do nursing and that just having the will or desire is sometimes just not enough. I think though, you don't have to be a rocket scientist or the "smartest" person in the room...you just need to be "smart enough", if that makes sense.
Even though everyone at your high school may choose business as a career, I would push for a counselor to sit down with you to fairly discuss your future.
