A&P ll before or after starting Nursing program?

Published

Hey guys!!!

I will be started the nursing program for the summer of 2020. I was debating on whether I should take A&P ll this spring before I start the program or take it during. I’m asking because I wanted to take my last math class to get it out of the way since I struggle in math, but it’s a class that is only mandatory when I go for my BSN. My first semester in the nursing program will be Nursing fundamentals and A&P ll (unless taken before) I don’t know how hard fundamentals is but I know A&P requires a lot of memorization. If anyone has taken fundamentals and A&P ll would you please give me some advice!!! Thank you!!!

Nursing school is very hard, take everything you can now so that you can take ONLY nursing classes. When you do take anatomy, pay attention to anything to do with the heart/lungs and endocrine system.

Specializes in Oncology.

Before, hands down. The information in that class is invaluable. There's already such a large adjustment and influx of new information in the first semester of nursing school; it would be easier to retain the material of both A&P II and Fundamentals if you could devote appropriate focus to both instead of splitting your attention between the two.

Thank you both so much!!! This definitely helps!!
