Hi everyone. I'm so excited to start clinical in two weeks, but insanely nervous at the same time! I'm sure these feelings aren't foreign to anyone who's been in a similar situation. Anyway, I just picked up this great book entitled "How to Survive in Anaesthesia" by N. Robinson and G. Hall. The authors' primary audience is the beginning anesthetist, and it's a written in a lighthearted style that can easily be read in a few sittings. It offers a very nice overview of the big stuff that will help you practice safe anesthesia when they let you loose in the OR. Good luck to everyone who's starting soon!

Where might one purchase this book? I did a title search at various online bookstores but turned up zilch It sounds like a great read.

It's important you spell anaesthesia in your search. If you spell anesthesia, you won't get any hits. I made this mistake when I first set out to find it.

C-thor,
Good luck in your clinicals. I'm sure you'll do great. You definitely seem to have it all together. I'm hoping to hear from VCU by next week.
