Hi Everyone, my name is Micki, I am married with two older children. With my last one graduating this year I am ready to do something great for myself. I went to school and recieved my EMT license, only to find out I am not strong enough to lift and lug people around on those carts. I went and took a Phlebotomy class, it landed me a job at a decent hospital here in Ann Arbor Michigan. I already realilze I do not want to draw blood for the rest of my life.
Can anyone tell me about a good school? Or can anyone explain to me the difference between a MA, CNA, CENA and a LPN? I'm in my late 40's and going to school for 4 years really scares me.
All help and advise is greatly appreciated.
Thanks and hope to get to know you all better.
Micki

I am a student at EMU. Where did you get your information on their failure of good pass rates? Have you known anyone who has applied to their nursing program? Just wondering. They also have a MSN program. They accept 80 students a year for the traditional program. Not sure how many for the MSN. I have heard other people say bad things about their program, but they had never actually applied to the program or been through it. So it is just hear say. My husband's cousin just graduated from their program and is working as a Cardiologist nurse. My former neighbor graduated from there years back and had no problem gaining employment either.
