My professor ask us to give at least three nursing research topic we actually gave
1. Coping mechanism for students in their duty
2. Obstruction in learning for nursing student in our University
3. Most common prevalent medical errors in the hospital
but my prof just accepted the number 2 because two remaining 2 topics (1&3) are too hard to accomplished for she just gave us two months to finish the research. So I'm asking if someone here could give me topic that we could finish in 2 months and we can also find some related articles on it. As much as possible it is related to nursing.
A good topic and easy to handle. Please help me. I'm actually the leader of our group.

the smart way to approach a research topic is to go to the library and look up some research articles along a subject area that seems interesting to you. or just look at articles until one strikes you as interesting. the reason for doing it that way is because for whatever subject you choose, you will be having to find research articles for a literature review to express what research has already been done and what piece of research you feel needs to be added to what already exists. that is what you are asked to do for a research project. you then need to look at the bibliographies of these article(s) you like and read those pieces of research as well.
to pick a subject and then look for articles is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. you'll be driving around in circles and getting no where. if you can't find any research articles for a topic you chose, then you're in trouble.
basic rule of research: all research is based upon previous research that was done by others. and so on, and so on, and so on. . .the majority of your project depends upon the research articles you use to back up your questions and proposal for research.
if you don't have a good literature review to support a research topic, you will not be able to complete the project. so, the literature search is the most important thing you have to put into a research paper. you should have started searching literature to know what topics would be possible for you to do before even giving your professor a list. go back to the library and start looking for articles. when you find an interesting one, look at the bibliography supporting it and look up those articles as well. that is how you begin to put together a literature review. without a good literature review to help you show what has been tested, proven or disproven and what needs to be tested and proven or disproven, you have no foundation for a research project.
