A FUN question for a change..Need games

Published

Finally, something fun! My class is throwing a surprise party for the graduating RN's next week. I'm in charge of "entertainment/games". We are limited on time so whatever I choose needs to be not-so-time-consuming. I think we are going to do some "mingling" things...like have a cotton ball dispenser full of cotton and have the students guess how many. Then, the old "OPERATION" game set up, an emesis basin full of gross stuff for " How many mls?"...The only other things we came up with was charades (a graduate has to impersonate an instructor) and then "Are You Smarter Than a First Level Student?".

I could really use some tricky questions for this game to be able to pull it off. Or, if anyone has other ideas:idea:, I would LOVE to hear them. thanks...and congratulations to all those getting ready to graduate!:yeah:

someone on a recent thread had to have ideas for dressing up and acting out nursing diagnoses (https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/nursing-diagnosis-dress-373430.html- nursing diagnosis dress up). i thought that was fun. you could have one or two people dressed up as a nursing diagnosis and have people try to guess who that person is and what diagnosis they are portraying. the secret will be revealed at the end of the party for a bonus prize that will be given to the winner. we gave away old pdrs we got from the hospital. check with the pharmacy or nursing departments at the hospitals where you do your clinicals to see if they have any old reference books that they can donate to you to use for prizes. make sure you give out little prizes for the other games. when i was in school we had medication bingo cards. they were meds in brand or generic names and someone read out the classifications and we covered the drugs up until someone got a bingo. password can also be adapted to medical terminology and the giving of one word clues between partners or teams.

i believe in the past i posted some weblinks to games (i.e., crossword puzzles) on this sticky: https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/websites-28203.html - websites...
