A CHance to make a difference

I am so excited. I have a meeting with someone from the American Cancer Society tomorrow! Our goal try to get something going for young cervical cancer patients. I have had two cervical cancer patients die in the last six months. One from her disease at the ripe old age of 27 (with 4 kids) and the second commited sucide after she found out her diagnosis. The suicide was the last straw I had to do something to inform the young girls in my area just exactly how you get this disease and how it is treated. So I called the local office of The American Cancer Society and tomorrow we will meet and brainstorm on what we can do.

I would love to go into the school and talk to young girls, since HPV is one of the main causes of cervical cancer and as we know HPV is sexually transmitted. I do not know if that will happen but atleast we will begin to do something. Our plan is to have a project in place for Jan which is Cervical cancer month.

Wish me luck and say a prayer. I will keep you posted.
