Currently studying to take the HESI A2 mid-September... I took it once before and the only section I didn't do well on was A&P. I set up a study schedule for myself so I can review the sections I did well on and do a really in-depth review of A&P. I've been using these HESI study recommendations attached and am wondering if their A&P outline is really as far into it as I need to go! Any input on this would be helpful... thanks y'all!

I took the HESI yesterday and although I did worse on the A&P section than any of the others, I would suggest using the Evolve study guide as well as the one by McGraw Hill. I personally think the material is presented very well in the McGraw Hill study guide. I used the evolve study guide to make my own notes then I studied the McGraw Hill guide and then I went back over my notes. I scored 96% on the biology section and 80% on A&P and its been 10 years since I took biology and 6 years since I took A&P.
That study guide you posted above looks like it covers all of the basic information but you still have to look everything up in a textbook/online and make your own study guide from it.
Good luck!
Thanks Ms Leana! Yep I have been making my study guide from the above outline and filling in lots of info from my A&P textbook... I just wasn't sure if the topics mentioned in there go into enough detail :)

I got a perfect score on the A&P Section and I used the Evolve HESI study guide and my old A&P Textbook. The HESI asks you specific in-depth questions. For example, instead of asking where the adrenal glands are located, the HESI would ask you something like, What part of the adrenal gland releases the hormone, epinephrine?
Thanks hopeful! I appreciate it. What methods did you use to study for it? Right now I'm making a huge study guide/outline on my computer, but I also have the HESI flashcard system... I know everyone learns differently, but what did you use to study all that info for the exam?
I used that very same approach
