I'm going to say take Micro. You could possibly do fine either way, but micro is the safer bet. A&P is a lot of straight memorization, and that would be really overwhelming if you were taking both at the same time. Especially since summer classes are condensed as it is. I also remember my A&P 1 professor stressing that if you don't learn Autonomics you will have serious problems in A&P 2. Autonomics was the last thing we learned in A&P 1.
I think A&P 1 and 2 are both important and I'd want both under my belt. I don't think taking them together would have worked for me though. A&P 2 was just a continuation of 1--it finished up all of the body systems.
I loved Microbiology though. It was really interesting. I took it with A&P 1 and it worked out.
I'm taking micro right now and I know a lot of people complain about it but it's really opening my eyes to these "creatures" that we share this earth with. It's kinda cool! However...A&P 2 is a continuation, so I would probably go with that. How are you getting a waiver?
I'm leaning toward Microbiology at this point, I've contacted the department chair, and have good standing. They said get to give them the course number and she'd give me a waiver.

Hello everyone,
I need to take A & P 2 OR Microbiology this summer, and I am currently taking A & P I (I am getting a pre-requisite waiver for A&P2 or Micro). My question is, If you had to take A&P I while taking EITHER A&P II or Microbiology in the summer, which would you do? that is, I want to take the one that would be more "manageable," while taking A&P I, so I can hope for the best grade and learn the most when I am finished without melting my brain completely.
I was thinking A&P II wold make a little more sense, since it would be a continuation of what I am already taking, but then again, I don't actually know.
I need to figure it out by July 5th, thanks for all of your help!
