A&P for Dummies Book

HI everyone, I will be taking A&P starting January and was wondering if anyone has used this book for a general overview. If so, have you found it helpful? Thanks !!

I got this book thinking it would help with A&P. Honestly, I barely looked at it through the course of the semester. It's just not detailed enough. I'd advise you to start the course first and if you still have difficulty with some of the concepts, then maybe it's worth getting.

One thing every A&P student should get is the coloring book - I didn't use it as much as I should have, but it helped me so much in my lab practicals and it was something easy to do and learn from when I didn't feel like studying all out.

I have both A&P for dummies and the A&P coloring book.

The dummies book I found helpful. It could explain some things in a way that I could understand that the regular schoolbook couldn't. My A&P teacher also has the book and she said she teaches some of her stuff from it, because its such a good book.

I have both the A&P for Dummies book and the Anatomy and Physiology The Easy Way (Barron's)...I found A&P The Easy way to be much more helpful than the Dummies book.

I do not have an A&P coloring book, but I did purchase the study guide that goes with our text (though not required for my class) and it has a lot of good diagrams for coloring/labeling.

I really found it helpful to do google searches on the topics we were studying...it really helped me reinforce what we were learning in class.

I did what worked for me, it might work for others...I had the highest points in my class. :)

I agree. The dummy book didn't do much for me either.

I have just completed my first year of adult nursing and alongside my tortora I have Charmaine mckissock great ways to learn anatomy and physiology it was recommended in nursing times for dyslexics has some great study tips and although not all systems explains some systems simply I have used it all year.
