I'm taking a 5 week A&P1 course over the summer and I wanted to get a head start on learning some of the info. I've read some of the threads on here and have gotten mixed reviews for some who think the coloring books are resourceful and others who say they weren't useful at all. Then some say "a certain author" for flashcards is better than "another author".
Could someone please give me their insight/suggestions for the best resource and also if you can please list title/author of the books/flashcards?
P.S. - I already have A&P for dummies. So I'm looking for something along the same lines with regards to the coloring book/ or flashcards. Science is like a foreign language to me:banghead: and I'm looking to get something that will help me understand it the best way possible.
-Thanks,
LucyRose

I found the coloring book to be very useful. As for the cards, I have them but didn't use them much. I just ended up copying the photos and diagrams out of my A&P book and made my own cards. By the time I was done making them, I had memorized 2/3 of what I needed to! Since you are doing A&P I in 5 weeks, I would suggest getting a head start on some basic chemistry. When I took it, I noticed several students got bogged down with the chemistry and fell behind because of that.

I never even opened the coloring book I bought or the box of premade flashcards my friend gave me. Like LucyRose suggested copy the pages out of the powerpoints or the lab book and mark out the names and use that as a flashcard. Worked really well for me.
