A&P has been challenging ???

Published

This class has been somewhat challenging for me. I thought the chemistry was a lot of recall, but this is two times that!

What did you do to get straight A's and B's in this class? So far, I've scored mostly B's on my tests, and honestly I could kick the studying up a few notches. IMO, the labs are harder than lecture tests. It's been just three weeks and have had six tests so far.

I'm giving it all I have here. I mostly just rewrite everything and look at the power point slides over and over. That's how I have been studying. I try not to cram, but we only have a week in between each test.

What are some sure ways to nail A&P into your brain?

I also have a sociology class at the time as well, and it's simple! Very easy... but A&P makes up for what it lacks.

Advice on recalling here??? Anyone??? Thanks :)

Are you taking a shortened class, or a full semester (or quarter, I guess)?

I thought the labs were more challenging, too. I took photos of all the models we had to memorize, printed them out and pasted them to index cards, creating my own flash cards. I'd use those to study, but what helped me the most was teaching other people. We'd all meet up for study sessions in the science building and I'd "teach" my classmates. I'd also "teach" my dog.

I always made sure to take notes in my own words, not verbatim from the teacher.

It's new, and it's a different sort of class than any other - you'll get there.
