How do you deal with the complaining. When I first started at my current position I had three years expereince. I have never had this many problems. I feel like i basically have to Kiss Ass. I was told today by my nurse manager that I am a know it all. At least that is the latest complaint. OMG they don't have anything substantial to complain about. I don't run around offering my two cents worth but if you ask me a question I am going to give it. If you dont' like it then don't ask for it. She complemented me on my organization skills then turned around and said that "people" are complaining because I sit at the desk and ask if things like blood sugars, foleys and ambulating patients got done. Shame on me for wanting to make sure everything got done. and I should not have to run behind my nursing assistant to check on those types of things but I have to because there are a few who don't do things. They say it bothers them I am just sitting there. Well my charting is done my job is done and damn it I even answer most of the call lights and help everyone else. If someone can't get something done say so I have no problem doing it jsut speak up. Don't leave it for me to find 5 min before the end of the shift. Sorry stepping off my soap box
My question here is how do you handle people complaining about you and stuff you do or don't do. Do ay of you ever feel like you can't ever do anything right.
