Hello I was about to start my BSN and was leaning towards . Does anyone know what kind of homework is involved or is it just essays?

Specializes in Cardiac/Progressive Care.

I didn't really have what I would call homework. I did have multiple papers amd tests that were required to pass the courses. There are no journal entries or discussion board posts. Some classes, all I had to do was pass a test to complete the course. Others, especially the nursing classes, I might have had a test and a paper, or several papers and no test. I did have to record myself doing a head-to-toe assessment on someone, and for community health I had to interview multiple people in my community for a specific number of hours in order to write a paper, but for the most part, write the paper and pass the course. Does that help?

There's no homework per say because it's all home work. Your coursework is layed out in the course of study culminating in tests and / or papers as your final class assessment. There are assigned videos and assigned reading. The amount of reading you have to do depends on you and your knowledge base. If you know the content you are testing on you may be able to write the paper or pass the test with little to no reading. If you don't know the content you may need to complete all the reading and re read highlights.

Basically since you don't go to classes your coursework is all at home. Instead of lectures you have reading and pre recorded videos, sometimes live group sessions (cohorts). But, there is no requirement to post anywhere, attend anything, or read anything. You have to decide how much you need to learn to pass the assignment, do the work, and pass the test / paper.

Yes. It was annoying and uncomfortable but not really a big deal at the end of the day.
