Seattle University APNI - page 2
I just got accepted to Seattle University's APNI program and was wondering if any of my fellow future classmates were interested in starting a thread of our own. We are about to embark on an... Read More
0I'm in the FNP track too.
Would current Seattle folks like to get together on the hill one night after work next week? Personally, I'm free at 7pm... and Tuesday I can do earlier... dinner or a drink? I'd love to meet folks...
0Apr 2, '09 by jeomozWow! Thanks for all the info. It is much appreciated. Now I'll have more options when searching on Craigslist.
Hey twinkletoes did you decide on a program? I seem to remember you were waiting to hear from a couple other schools.
Really looking forward to meeting everyone too! I see there's already a meet-and-greet in the works. Hopefully we'll be able to plan something again closer to June. That's when I'm hoping to be there You'll have to have a pint for me. Have a wonderful time!
0Apr 2, '09 by avbc830I would be free next week some evening too!
I currently live in the Northgate/North Seattle area and really like it. For those of you looking for a new neighborhood, it's close to the mall, Target, Best Buy, etc, grocery stores, restaurants, right off of I-5, and there is a transit center with buses for everywhere. The apts go for between $800 to $1000 for a 1 bdrm.
I'm currently taking Dev. Psych as my UW credits didn't transfer over. :smackingf Oh, and my name is Rebekah.
0Hello Fellow APNI Students! Congratulations to everyone!!! My name is Karla and I just graduated from the UW this quarter. I am in the Gerontological Nurse Practitioner Track and SUPER excited to start. I will be a commuter next year (driving from Everett to Seattle), hence if anyone will be doing the same perhaps we can carpool :-)
I am also free after work (5:00pm).
0Apr 2, '09 by apni2009Hi everyone. I'm in the Psych/Addictions track. I've lived in the Seattle area all of my life. I currently live in Shoreline (for those of you not local, a city just north of Seattle). I must be pretty close to you, Rebekah- I'm only a 10 minute drive from Northgate.
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!
0Apr 2, '09 by mntgirlHi! My name is Gretchen and I will be apart of the new CNM group! I'm really excited :-) Thanks for all the helpful tips on where to live. I've been living all over the Northwest, but most recently in the Portland area.
0i propose an informal get-together, next monday evening, 6:30pm at, um, tryin gto think of somewhere on the hill that has food and maybe a happy hour for anyone who wants a drink or cheap snacks, is big enough to meet a few or a more people... the elysian brewery? i just had to. the emoticons on this site are killing me.
0Apr 2, '09 by jeccagoldHi everybody!
I live a few blocks away from Northgate mall, so I can go anywhere for our Seattle-area meet and greet! Though it seems like a lot of people are in the north end...
I was thinking that we might be able to meet around the UVillage or Wallingford/Greenlake area. Something easy and informal like The Ram? That way we can have food and drinks (and parking) at our disposal. =)
Let me know how that works for everyone! Maybe when we get plans finalized we can let Sabrina know so she can send out and email to the rest of our cohort.
I'm posting from my phone and am having issues so I hope this makes sense!
0Personally, I'm coming from the south end, was thinking that near campus was the middle, but can do north seattle this once if that's better for everyone else....
0I'm alright with any location, I work in Harborview right now, so both locations would be dandy :-)
0Apr 2, '09 by avbc830If the Ram in the U District works, they do have that little room there...not sure if we could request that...
