Hi everyone! i need some info..im just new here in washington state.im living here in lakewood.i just got my RN license in california and im about to process the reciprocity.and im afraid it will take long time to get my license transfered here.can i apply any job here in washington atleast in medical field?like NA,LPN?because i dont want too be stock at home..but the only license im holding is california license.thank you so much
I had to Endorse my California License from California to Washington as well. It took quite a while but mostly because I wasn't educated here and I needed to get my Uni in the UK to send original transcripts.

All in all, it took 5months!!! And that's with me bothering them constantly! Good luck.

Getting a job here without a WA license might be tricky. I don't think any health care establishment will be willing to risk it. But give it a go anyway, I did. I got one offer with the condition that I get my License before they take me on. Luckily I did within the timeframe they gave me. Thank God.

    Wish you all the best.

I just sent the required forms to my school with a payment. I worked in retail while waiting. Luckily I had Asst Manager experience so I got better pay than your average sales person.

Seattle is on my list of places to move to, but it depends on the job market over there. I'd be nervous moving to the other side of the country and not being able to find a job there.

Toki if you have experience you will find a job. We are having a hard time finding experienced nurses on my unit

I finished my nursing in the Philippines as well. I am now in Vancouver, BC and had to do endorsement with my US license to WA. It took me 3 months. It will depend on how fast you process/request other requirements like your school transcript in sealed envelop or your license verification. WA accepts transcript from your original board of nursing too. You can just follow the instruction from WA BON site. You can find it here.

They will send you an email if they need anything from you. They asked me for my transcript so I requested my school to send one. After 2 weeks my licensed was issued.
