How long does it take for a license to become active

U.S.A. Washington

Hi everyone, I took the NCLEX a week ago and passed at 75 questions :yeah:Yeah! Anyways, about 6 of us took the test the same day and everyone's license is showing as active except 2 of us.

Does anyone know how long it normally takes for a license to become active. The 2 of us who are still showing as pending passed at 75. I would hate to think that has something to do with it, but I have heard stranger things when it comes to the test and the rumors that go around.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Usually takes anywhere from a few days to several weeks. It depends on how many staff they have who are working on licensing and how quickly they have processed your paperwork, background check, etc. It took mine about 4 or 5 days to be listed as active, another gal I know it took hers several weeks. Just be patient :)

Once you show on the Board website as having a license number, it is good. A prospective employer that calls or uses the internet to check on your license status will be informed that you have an active, clear license.
