Bellevue College 2012 hopefuls

U.S.A. Washington

Hello everyone,

I have just applied to Bellevue College for Fall 2012/Winter 2013 and I just want to hear from anyone who has also applied there. What are your TEAS scores? Do you guys know when we will hear back regarding acceptance/ rejection letters? Is Bellevue College your first choice or are you guys spreading out your applications to other schools?

Beedub, are you going to do the weekend program? I'm flip flopping - much closer for me to go to Divine, but already signed up for one in Des Moines. The hours for Divine are more attractive too. I put in an inquiry - they say they have spaces for the weekend one starting in May.

I'd go to Divine near Northgate. The instructor I had was older (and pretty forgetful), but you could tell she'd been doing this a long time. She loved her job and answered our questions. The receptionist might be difficult to get a hold of, because she was rarely there. But everyone I encountered was nice.

Someone here mentioned Divine a while ago. I called them and they were really nice. I am starting the weekend program in Northgate on May 5th. I live in Bellevue and looked into a few in Bellevue. They got awful reviews and 2 never answered emails I sent them. Maybe some of us will be in class together.

CyndyRD, I've registered for the May 5th start - morning weekend classes. Will see you there!

I'll be out of town when the next one starts. I may wait until after summer to go to Divine. You guys will have to let me know how it goes :-)

Hey downton,

Goodluck on your e-write tomorrow! Please let me know how it goes when you talk to Chie about your certification card :)

Just got done with the E-Write. Ouch, definitely did not do as well as expected. Still passed, but my ego took a hit with that lol. Talked to a guy in for Fall and he felt the same. I feel more stressed leaving there than going in, I think I need a glass of wine haha. Oh well I passed woohoo!!!!

Oh now! What happened BeeDub? Was it harder than you had expected?

Nevertheless, you still passed and that's really all that matters

Congrats!:yeah:

No, not harder than I expected, just couldn't really think of a lot of points to support my view I guess. I've always been the kind of writer who writes and then erases and then writes and erases lol. Can't really do that on a timed test. Oh well, at least I passed and it's all done!!!

11/12 I am so happy. When I first read the prompt I was like I have no idea how I am going to write this. I pretty much wrote one essay and then decided I didn't like it and swapped to the other idea. But it's done. Now I just have to move up the wait list. :)

Congrats to all who have passed their e-writes and good luck to those who haven't taken it yet!!! Breathe, focus, and you'll get through it!!! (I for one, forget to breathe, and start panicking!!!) :yelclap: :yeah:

Hey guys, one last question:

So for the e-write did any of you guys write about counter arguments to your chosen view point? If so, do you think that you got marked down/up for that?

I am just wondering about this because I am reading a lot of essay prep books and they have all mentioned that in an academic essay, I have to state a counter argument to my position in order to prevent a one-sided essay.

....Or am I just overthinking this whole e-write thing? I'm just really freaked out that on the day when I take the test, I will bomb it and totally fail out of nursing school before even starting. Which will totally break my heart :bluecry1:
