Bellevue College 2012 hopefuls

U.S.A. Washington

Hello everyone,

I have just applied to Bellevue College for Fall 2012/Winter 2013 and I just want to hear from anyone who has also applied there. What are your TEAS scores? Do you guys know when we will hear back regarding acceptance/ rejection letters? Is Bellevue College your first choice or are you guys spreading out your applications to other schools?

For the e write, i don't think computers are capable of grading our essays.....So maybe someone can view our screen from a different monitor to grade our tests right away? This is just a total guess.

Congrats to everyone who passed! I won't end up taking the test tomorrow, but am going on Monday or Tuesday to get it over with and ask about the NAC credentials. It's really reassuring to here that everyone has been passing with flying colors. :)

Charlotte66, according to the Compass site, it is computer scored - it sounds like the computers are "trained" to score tests in a similar way that computers are "trained" for speech recognition capabilities.

Margritamix, I addressed the point of view that I didn't agree with, how it was a valid point of view, though it had its weaknesses. I didn't linger too long on that point though, and used most of my content to back up why I felt the other point of view was the stronger one.

Well I'll be wishing you luck on Monday and Tuesday then downton! But you should do great!

CyndyRD, a schedule conflict came up and it looks like the Kamanga program is going to work better for me after all....oh well!

Question: Has anyone been contacted about an interview?

No - are we supposed to? I was under the impression that, for this year, the interviews were only for people who were "on the fence" of getting accepted (bottom of the range for TEAS score, perhaps?). I thought the interviews were going to become standard for all applicants as of next year. Were you contacted about one? Also, my letter said that once I submitted a passing e-write score, my acceptance would no longer be "conditional," so I thought that was all that was left to do....anyone else?

I haven't been contacted. I thought the interview was only for certain applicants, but I'm not positive. From the letter, I also assume that once I pass the e-Write I'm officially in the program.

I think you're right... but as I am still on the wait list I am pretty much obsessing over everything. :( I really want to get in with you all!

Jammin, did it say what number you are on the wait list? If not, it might not hurt to email Chie; she's always been quick to answer my questions - it might put your mind at ease, if you're fairly high on the list. What was your TEAS score?

Jammin, I'd definitely email Chie. She replies quickly, and she could probably let you know if anyone has already turned down their place.

Hey hereshoping and downton,

It did say what number I was on the wait list: 7. My score: 85.3%.

I may email her on Monday to see if there is any news.

Thanks,

jammin_jewel
