I've been out all day so I haven't been able to check!Big news, though -- I was nervous about putting off responding to GW, and I called. They said decisions will go out tomorrow or Monday. We'll hear about the scholarship a few days later. So it won't be today.

Wow...I am keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow. It will definitely be a long weekend wait otherwise, and I can't believe we will have to wait even longer to hear about the scholarship!

Oh, that's a tough one for you. What are you going to do?

I think I'm going to decline GW (although I'm sad to do so -- it's a good school). If I get the scholarship and everything at GU, I'll go there. If not, I'll go with UMSON.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO In the words of Stephanie Tanner, "HOW RUDE!"
Would UMSON put you too far away from your fiancé? Hope GT gives you good news so you don't have to worry about it. How many schools have you been accepted to? My goodness...we could have a nursing school bidding war for you! :-)
Does anyone know if we'll hear about the scholarship whether we got it or not? I forget if they mentioned that..
Ersoch called, and it looks like it will be at least a few days after the admission decision (which will be today or Monday). If I remember correctly from the info session, they said about four days after. I'm trying to figure out how they do this process. Perhaps decisions aren't made "around a table," but separately for the admissions and WHC. In other words, I'm not sure if the WHC interview would have an effect on whether or not a person is accepted to Georgetown. I initially had that impression because their website timeline states that the decisions are concurrent. All I know is that this is really tough to have these decisions so far apart: tough for those of you who are weighing your options for other schools (and their deposit deadlines), and tough for me because I have pre-reqs that are over five years old, which means I can't even apply to most nursing programs. Georgetown is my last hope after being waitlisted for Duke. I'm going nuts that the control over my entire career change is in their hands, and I'm so tired of the long and lonely hours of grading hundreds of papers. Wow, am I praying that all of us get good news because we have bonded on this forum!
Professor T, thanks for your response! I also wish that the decisions were released at the same time!! What I meant is that I wasn't sure if they were going to notify us either way.. Will they e-mail the people who aren't offered the scholarship as well, to tell them they weren't chosen?
Professor T, I am in a similar position as you. Many of my pre-reqs are also over five years old now and I did not qualify to apply to most school as well. So it comes down to Georgetown for me. It's an uncomfortable feeling to have to sit and wait in the background while people you do not know very well are deciding the next chapter in your life.

You've really nailed it so concisely and so well. Interestingly, Duke's application requires that applicants list all the other schools they’re applying to. I can't decide if that factor should play a part in admissions, but I think it's important to consider with a borderline admissions decision.

Imagine if universities only contacted whom they accepted! What a disaster that would be.

Actually, there was one university that accidentally sent a "Welcome new students" welcome-week invite to all accepted and rejected applicants! Doh!
