Georgetown Accelerated BSN hopefuls -- fall 2013

U.S.A. Washington DC

Hey -- anyone else applying to GU Fall of 2013? :)

I wouldn't give up just yet. These situations can linger past business hours because faculty aren't available during the day. I'm sorry about that deposit situation. It seems like there should be a more centralized time frame for nursing schools to accept or reject students. I guess you can hold on to one positive: many nursing schools want you, and that's a strong indicator that you are a top candidate for Georgetown and the scholarship.

I love you!! You are just my favorite person ever. We really need to both get the scholarship so we can be best buds all through nursing school.

And clearly I haven't given up hope, since I'm still checking the nursing form. :) I kind of wish I could stop!

You're so sweet! Oh my gosh, I do hope we both get in because we would have A BLAST! Oh, that would be so great! It's 1:22 am. I'm a hot mess commenting on student papers, and I'm STILL checking the forum as well! Ha.

Annnnnd, it's a new day! I'm strongly feeling that the slight delay suggests that the scholarship decision and the admission decision will be issued simultaneously. I know I would prefer that. Anyway, good luck, everybody! May we not lose our minds checking our e-mails! I will be teaching all day, so that helps...

Coooooooooooooommmmeeeeee onnnnnnnnnnnnn :sarcastic:

Yeah, we were told we'd hear of both decisions simultaneously, so that's a plus. Their email said "Scholarship decisions will be released at the same time as program admission decisions in mid-April."

This is cruel! I honestly don't think I can make it one more day. I attended the second information session, so I can't imagine how those of you who attended the first feel! Torture! Wishing everyone the best of luck!

Each day passes and I feel that I can't possibly wait another moment...waiting is soooooo hard!

I noticed that in the literature as well. But, I wondered because in the information session, they said there would be time in between the notifications...about four days or so. That would be so tough, so I hope they don't do that. I'd hate to be in their shoes right now. Being at the helm of determining a person's future is extremely stressful. Nobody wants to be in that position, and they are in that position for 50+ people.

Ha. I think you reflect all our sentiments here.

I actually rescheduled a dentist appointment this afternoon so between the commute and the appointment, I'd have a solid two hours this afternoon where I couldn't watch my email...

Stay strong everyone :)

I hear you! I teach until 4:15. I'm starting to get sick to my stomach when I open my e-mail. Hope your appt, goes well and that they don't yell at you regarding flossing. I always hate that.

I've been out all day so I haven't been able to check!

Big news, though -- I was nervous about putting off responding to GW, and I called. They said decisions will go out tomorrow or Monday. We'll hear about the scholarship a few days later. So it won't be today. :(
