Hi everyone,

Hoping someon can steer me i the right direction. I am completing my first semester in nursing school and need my cna license in order to get a pct job. I have requested the application From MBON. They don't seem to have it available online. Does anyone know how complicated the appliction process is, and how long it takes? I am also wondering about the requirements in DC and in VA. One of my clinicals is in DC. Do they require CNA certification in DC and VA too? I assume I can find the info for VA but what about DC. Where would I get the application for DC.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have one already? I am not sure, about nursing students, but if you have one it's pretty easy to get. Just print out the forms and mail them.

Hey thanks, i just got the app last week and will be sending it in once my grades are posted in january.

well it depends on which program you enter. But if you take classes at a community college they can take about 2-3 months. If you are a nursing student and have had one year of clinicals you can get a job at washington hospital center and you won't have to go through the certification (and pay for the classes)... hope that helps.
