Wanting a pen pal

I've posted on here several times, and each time - received mostly no responses.

I will post here one more time... maybe this time, I'll reach someone.

I am a pre-nursing student. I am finishing up my pre-reqs and will be applying to the program hopefully this December or next January.

I am just searching for someone who I can befriend. Someone who is already a nurse, a nursing student or even a fellow pre-nursing student.

Where I live, I have tried Craigslist and even though there are lots of students in my school going towards the same goal - none seem to be interested in either making a friend to go through with this, or give advice and guidance.

I love my family dearly, and I know they love me and are extremely supportive of what I am doing. However, as we all know - they will never fully understand the commitment, stress, and overall constraints of this journey.

So if there are any willing participants who either want a friend to confide in, through email, online chat, phone conversation, or if you live near me even - we could meet up to study or whatever. Please feel free to respond.

Hey everyone! Just found this post just now, I'm a pre nursing student myself. Rnwannabe2011 are you going to any of the information sessions for GMU? I attend NVCC and I'm interested in GMU also.:nuke:

I will, but probably not any time soon. Which program are you applying to?

I'm looking into the accelerated in person for 2010 for NVCC. For a while I thought the momentum was the most perfect one because of the BSN at Mason but if you look at Mason's website it almost assures you that you have a spot for transfer because you'd already be a RN. Did you see the RN-MSN pathway? That's one to look into if you really wanna go to grad school. Are you done with your pre req's and tests? Did you already take the TEAS or Computer test?

Hello,

I would suggest to start a google group and email your classmates to join. That way each of you will have the same info to share and discuss concerning courses and work due, etc. I have set one up for my nursing program for the fall. Make sure that you have it managed, only let in the people who resond to join. They say the spam is terrible in public group forums on yahoo and google.

Specializes in Emergency Department.

I would be happy to 'pen pal'.
