Marymount University Nursing Uniforms

U.S.A. Virginia

Published

Hi Everyone!

Is there anyone that is currently attending a nursing program at Marymount University? I have just been accepted and am in the process of trying to find out what their uniforms look like. I believe the 2009 uniforms are navy blue pants with a white embroidered top? Is there any possibility I can get away with purchasing part of the uniform elsewhere and not at Lynford Uniforms? Or are the extremely strict with their dress code?

Also. what kind of shoes do you recommed? I noticed that they mentioned we could purchase the shoes anywhere and that they could be "sport" style nursing shoes. Anyone have any advice?

Thanks!

I just got my uniforms at the orientation through Lynford. Navy blue pants and white short sleeve button down (ugly) blouse are mandatory. You are not allowed to wear a long sleeve under the shirt so you'll probably want to get the equally ugly warm up navy jacket. They are very strict with clinical dress code so you should buy your uniforms through Lynford. They'll embroider the uniforms for you. Total cost for the pants, shirt, and warm up jacket was around 80 bucks.

For shoes, you can wear athletic shoes that are all white. Can't have a single color on them.

the pants are scrubs cherokee brand, the problem is getting the right shade of blue. You can try to get the cherokee brand blue scrubs somewhere cheaper I heard some got them online after they went to see the color at lynford to be sure

Thank you so much for responding! I'm actually in my third semester at the moment so I found the answer out soon after I posted this ;) Hope you're making it through the program ok!
