Has anyone taken A&PI (NAS 161) at J. Sargent Reynolds?

Specializes in none but hope to have one soon.

Hello everyone!

I am taking A&PI this spring and have a question for those of you that have taken this course.

I purchased Barron's Anatomy Flash Cards and would like to use the winter break to my advantage and get a leg up on A&PI.

What system(s) would you recommend that I focus on and memorize before class starts? I have just over 3 weeks before class starts.

Thanks in advance for all the advice!

Have a Merry Christmas!

It is hard to say what to go over before class starts. I would want to review the first subject that the syllabus states, but otherwise flip through the book and see what throws you. Everyone is different and grasps certain systems better than other. IF it were me, knowing what I know now, I would have reviewed the Kreb cycle and anything that uses alot of acronyms. That was my sore spot.

I loved NAS 161 and 162. Just a heads up. If you can, keep the same teacher for both. I did and it worked out great. (That is, IF you even like your teacher. But I have never heard any complaints about the anatomy teachers at Reynolds)

Hopes this little bits helps.

The first week would usually consist of basic cellular biology and the first body system would be more than likely the integumentary system.
