Anyone else get a call from a Nurse Recruiter at Virginia Hospital Center?

Has anyone else recently gotten a call from Virginia Hospital Center. They called yesterday and my phone didn't ring. I got the voicemail and it was delayed an hour. I called back today and spoke to a nurse recruiter. Wondering if anyone else out there is in the same boat as me :)

Yes, I got a call back and went through the initial, talent plus, and peer interview. I had to do a urine analysis during the peer interview. I'm currently waiting on an email/call back to see if I am offered the position.

hi everyone, what did they tell you their starting pay was? I spoke with a recruiter and she said they started new grads at 25 seems rather low for the VA area.

Yes, that's what it is! Very low for such an expensive area! Only thing you can hope for is shift differentials and weekend/holiday pay.

Are you currently working there and do you like it? Also, the talentplus interview is that like one of the behavioral questionnaires they send you or was it an actual interview?

Also, did they ask you any clinical knowledge base questions and did you have to complete a dosage exam?

They didn't ask clinical knowledge, just questions like "how would I handle a difficult situation", "what was the best care I have ever given, describe it." I didn't have to do a dosage exam. They were all very kind! You have to emphasize how much you want to be a part of the team and the things you could bring to the table as a new RN.
