UTA MSN in Nursing Education online

I'm by no means ready to apply, even though I finished the RN-BSN program in May of this year. I just have a few questions regarding the MSN in Nursing Education at UTA.

How does preceptorship work?

Is the courseload similar to the RN-BSN program? Thank goodness there aren't a bunch of general ed courses. Are the courses difficult? Is it doable while working full time?

Can classes be doubled to complete the degree faster?

How do you like the program? Would you recommend it?

Congratulations!I wish I could answer you, but all I have are more questions, as I just just got accepted into the RN-MSN program, so I haven't taken any classes yet. It was my understanding that some of your BSN classes would go towards your MSN, so at least you don't have as many classes to take!

How was your experience through the BSN program?

I had a good experience. Some of the gen ed's were a pain, mainly History. It wasn't a difficult class but it was poorly organized. I enjoyed how short the courses were, particularly the nursing courses. By the time I got sick of a class, it was over. Ha.

Hi RunHeather! I'm interested in UTA's program. Do you happen to know if you could "switch" from the RN-BSN to the RN-MSN program once you're almost done with the BSN? I've read that it would be cheaper if you do the RN-MSN vs RN-BSN-MSN but wondering by how much and if it's feasible to even switch

I honestly have no idea. Definitely ask your enrollment advisor, though.
