I don't have a list I just know when I loaded my car it was way to full. I read in another travel club that some people just go to a thrist store and buy a few things for the kitchen which makes total sense and I would do that if I traveled again.

Okay here is what I carry. I do take more than may since I don't like to feel as though I am camping out - after 9 years, this is how I live.

First of all, does your company include a "housekeeping package" or is the housing "turnkey"? This would mean linens, dishes, cookware would already be there. Personally, I like having my own "stuff" so I carry one rubbermaid tub with all my kitchen stuff (1 pan, one pot, baking sheet, resinware dishes and flatware, knives, cutting board,etc.).

I have another plastic box - the big flat ones that can slide under the bed with two sets of sheets, three sets of towels - the big bath sheets can double as a beach towel - and a quilt and a comforter.

You'll want to have about 4 sets of scrubs and a week's worth of everyday clothes, one or two outfits for "dressing up". I carry another box with winter clothes just in case I get this wild idea that winter wouldn't be too bad again since I don't get home between each assignment (Last time I extended a contract into January I realized I owned 4 bathing suits and no sweaters!)

The next box gets packed with stuff to make me feel at home - pictures of my family, assorted candles and candleholders and small decorative items to set around.

I pack a small "carryon" sized bag with cosmetics, shampoo, bath gel, curling iron and OTC meds (tylenol and such)

I carry a micro sized stereo and a 13 in tv/dvd player (you can usually rent a larger tv if you prefer) with a small box of my favorite music. Oh and 2 roll up beach chairs (that also go out on the balcony/patio wherever I am.

All this plus my very small dog and her small kennel fit in the back of my Ford Ranger pickup, and prior to that, in a dodge minivan and before that in an Isuzu Trooper.

Another must - be sure to have your camera to take lots of pictures wherever you end up.

Hope this wasn't too longwinded and hope it helps.
