Hi, I was interested in maybe doing a stint or possibly longer of travel nursing in England.

I've actually never done any travel nursing before and I was wondering if anyone had any advice particular for this type of assignment.

(I hope this is ok to ask) I've been looking into Continental Travel Nurse and wondering if they were a decent company. Has anyone worked with them? Any other company you might recommend? (I'm RN-BSN)

Does ACLS also transfer over, or is there a similar certification that needs to be done in England?

I was also curious, how are travel nurses treated work-wise in England? I've only got two hospitals of experience to go by, but my old job dumped their most horrific assignments on the travelers and my new job only gives them chronics, nothing too busy or complicated (no VADs, no IABP, no CVVHD).

Thanks! ^__^

We do not really have travel nurses the same as the US, they are called agency nurses. You will also need to meet all requirements with NMC overseas nurses and complete a program and pass an English exam. Also may be hard to get a work permit allowing you to work due to EU regulations. There are many UK nurses out of work and many Trusts are not taking agency nurses on due to the expense with maybe the odd exception of London as it is so expensive. ACLS is not usually transferred to the UK
