Taxes for traveling nurses

I was just wondering how taxes work for traveling nurses if the company is based in a state that doesnt have income tax, like Florida? Would it be a benefit for me to become a resident of a state like Florida and work for a company based in Florida?

Taxes are based on where you are living, as well as where you are physically working. Even if you work for a company out of Florida, but are working in Georgia, you are resposible for the taxes on the salary that you made while working in Georgia to Georgia.

You will still pay taxes to every state that you did a travel assignment in as long as they have a state tax. It has nothing to do with where the company is based, but where the physical work took place.
