Switching recruiters?

Hi all, was wondering if anyone here had ever switched travel recruiters? There is an agency I'd like to work with in the future but I am less than impressed with the recruiter that the company assigned. I'd like to ask for a different recruiter but I'm not sure if there's even a tactful way to do this since obviously my point of contact with the agency is through this recruiter. Anyone ever run into this and have any suggestions? Thanks!

Sure! I did it before I started traveling with my first choice agency. Call the recruiter manager and ask to change. Stay professional and don't identify a personal/professional problem with the recruiter when asked. Just say you are not on the same communication channel. It made all the difference for me and I worked for that agency for four years.
