I am thinking of taking my first travel assignment at Kaiser @ Roseville (Roseville Medical Center) in the NICU. I would greatly appreciate any feedback regarding the facility (good and bad). Thanks in advance : )

- Jan 11, '11 by RNSheryl79I havent traveled to that Kaiser, but I lived in that area, my dad still does. Kaisers in General work their travelers really hard- float alot, but since your a pretty select specialty that may be different for you. I didnt much care for that area, hence why I left. But if you like yuppy suburb areas ( one of the many suburbs of Sacramento)- lots of upscale strip malls, lots of housing subdivisions, chain restaurants, then it will work for you. I love the downtown/midtown area of sac- lots of culture and uniqueness, but its about twenty min from roseville with no traffic. Otherwise the rest of sac is suburb after suburb. One good thing about Sac, though, is it is centrally located from Tahoe ( about an 1.25 hrs) and San Fran ( 1.5 hours, give or take). I will tell you my girlfriend had a major trauma during birth and her little baby was in the NICU at Kaiser Roseville, and they did excellent- baby is home safe now after 6 weeks in the hospital
If you have any more questions about the area feel free to ask.
