Possible to shorten a contract? American Mobile

  1. 0 I'm currently on a contract extension at a hospital. My initial contract was for 13 weeks, and was extended by the facility for an additional 13 weeks. I'm about two weeks into my extension and am wondering if anyone here has had any luck shortening a contract.

I basically just want to cut a month off my contract and start looking for permanent employment.

Start looking now while you are working. It often takes many weeks to actually start a permanent job, longer than a travel assignment. It is also easier to land a job while you are working.

For locums I have to give 30 days notice and the facility can also give me 30 days notice. See if there is anything in your contract or ask your recruiter. They may even be able to find you a job..
