I accidentally submitted myself twice for the same hospital

I really want to go to the Bay Area so I told both of my recruiters from 2 different agencies to submit me for hospitals in those areas. I don't know why I didn't think there would be some overlap. I messed up! Does anyone know what happens when you submit for the same job with 2 agencies?

The usual playground rules are the first agency to submit wins, but some hospitals just rule out that traveler altogether to avoid squabbling (unless you happen to be L&D which I recall that you are - then you still have a shot based on critical needs). You might get lucky and the hospital will ask you which agency you prefer, or the agency you do prefer submits you first and wins.

Not ideal. You need to give specific permission to an agency when you are working with several and don't want to miss out on better pay or altogether at a hospital you really want. Before they submit, ask about compensation, and then check with your other agencies about the same assignment.

Do I tell the hospital that I was submitted twice or will they know before they call me?

You can ask if they have two profiles on you. It is possible that staffing only gave one to the manager. Manager won't care as long as she gets you.
