Is there any one out there that has taken a travel position to Honolulu? If so what type of housing is the norm? Does it have air, W/D, cable? please any enlightment would make me feel alittle bit more at ease. Thanks a bunch, Sandy:(

Sandy, can you tell me which agency you are using? Try the Banyon Condos. They are furnished 1b/1ba 1 block off of Wakiki beach.

What rates are you getting at Banyan? Only ones I have ever found online were upwards of $2500/month. The recruiters I've talked to say they don't usually house in Waikiki area because most of the hospitals are too far away.

The housing stipends I've been quoted are between $1000 and $1800/month.

Do you know where they house you if they find it instead of takeing the stipend? Thanks,sandy

I know one girl that was at Coronado Apts in Ewa Beach. I don't know where they house other people. All the recruiters I've talked to said they have a separate housing department that does the housing and they don't know where it is..........except they did tell me they knew it wasn't in Waikiki.

I worked at Kapiolani and we lived at the Royal Grove Hotel 1.5 blocks from the beach. Nice hotel-suite type set up in an older hotel. Very friendly staff and "reasonable" rates for Honolulu. Rode the bus to work in 10 min. We later moved to a house and had to cough up deposits, and given the high rents there, the deposits were :o
