Getting back into the game, looking for advice

Hi all. After a 2.5 year break I'm going to start traveling again. I currently hold a compact license and a CA license. I'm hoping to start traveling by the middle of October. I'm wanting somewhere warm/temperate but I'm open to anything. As for pay, I'm looking to clear > $1200/wk for a standard 36 hour week. I have already contacted my old recruiter whom I trust, but I'm hoping that some of you out there can point me towards places that would fulfill my requirements.

For instance, right now I'm looking at California but Texas could be more lucrative and I wouldn't know it.

Thank you in advance.

To help with your for instance, Texas could pay more and we wouldn't know it either. Your recruiter might not either. The only way to cover more options is to keep in touch with more agencies. Working conditions, for another decision branch, are almost always better in California in many specialties.

"mursinary"... great name!

Congrats on returning to the road!! I also just came back to travel nursing from a 3yr hiatus. I'm in Cali on assignment and I'm clearing $1300+ weekly. I'm with AMN on this assignment but will go with Fastaff for my next one. They are known to pay $2800 weekly or more. Message me if you want more info.

Thanks for the replies!

Carmcam75 - Are you clearing that for a standard 36 hour work week with your housing paid for by the agency?

Yes Mursinary.

Good. I was hoping to make around that in Cali this fall. Thanks!
