I'm about to sign my first contract and I just have a question...

In the wording it states of the hospital cancels the contract for anything other than low census I would have to pay back anywhere between250-$2000 dollars. Is it normal for the reasoning to be vague or should I ask for them to make it more specific.

Also, in that case if I'm finding my on housing is it best to get month to month just in case ?

It should be specific and per missed hour and based on actual lost costs like housing. Sure, month to month lowers your risk but not by much of you have to give a month notice.

Why hey are you only talking to one agency?

I've talked to multiple agencies this was the job offer then contract. Didn't know I could see a contract before an offer had been made

Ask! They may decline to share a sample contract, but as you learn about the various issues you can ask for specifics from each agency prior to getting hitched. Regardless if you later find surprises on your contract or not, you can negotiate terms at any time.

You have some more negotiating power after a hospital says they want you but you have not yet said yes. But it is better to rule out a particular agency long before that point by discussing compensation and contract terms. No point in wasting everyone's time when you can find out early an agency isn't going to work for you.

This agency seems to be top notch ( reviews and conversation) I talked with them and they better explained the contract. I guess it's hard because I have to trust them, but at the same realize that they aren't my friend? It's a hard dynamic. I guess it all a learning process
