U.S.A. Texas

Hey guys!

:)

The application period for UTMB Spring 2013 is now open! Have any of you already applied/ taken the teas? Good luck to all!

YAY, i sent in my nursingcas application, now im just waiting for one more transcript to get there, and i take the teas june 12, and then i can RELAX CALMLY AND BE ON MY TOES, instead of now where i'm going insane! How did yall do so well on the teas? I took it last year for other schools and I made a 72. The science section is what brings my score down so low. i feel like what sin the study guide is not in the test like all the other sections. HELP?? TIPS??

i have completed my nursingcas application, still haven't submitted it though. i still need to send an updated transcript from this past semester. so taken from the ati website:

this exam is for baptist health system applicants only!

test of essential academic skills v (teas v) as a prospective student of baptist health system, on june 7, 2012 at 2:30 pm. this test will be administered at st. mary's university, one camino santa maria, san antonio, tx. this exam is for baptist health system applicants only!

is this completely irrelevant and can still take this specific teas regardless of me not applying to this school?

That's exactly what it said for me when I took it at Baptist's school and I was still able to send it to utmb! Lol

Well that's just great news! I won't be having to travel all the way to Houston just for the exam. Thanks.

That would be horrible! Lol no problem good luck!!!

nicole27! I used Mcgraw-Hills 5 practice TEAS tests! I feel like it really helped me prepare for the test! And if you go back in the forum a little bit... I broke it down by section on what you should focus on when preparing for this test! Hope it helps and good luck!

NursingCAS Finally received one of my transcripts I am praying that they get the other one soon!! How long did it take for them to calculate yall's GPA after they received the transcript?

I have no idea what my GPA is, every time I calculate it I get different numbers. I have transcripts from two different schools. 3.44 and 3.27 I think... I just want to send it already!!! I really hope and pray I dont miss the deadline!

this is the exact same question i had when registering for the teas. the answer i got is utmb doesnt care where you take it, but twu (which i am also applying to) does. they want you to take the teas through psi so i had to register at a psi location it was way more expensive :/

hi dee1388,once they get your transcript it takes less than 48hrs to calculate your GPA.

Hi dee1388

I also applied to TWU two days ago, and also sent my teas and transcript. Are you sure they dont accept the Teas which i took for utmb. because i alredy sent it to them. i hope they accept it because i dont want to go through the stress of taking the teas a second time.

so nursingcas finally calculated my gpa and they said my overall is a 3.4 which doesnt seem right because i have had above 3.5gpa for most of my semesters in college. ughh i hope that gpa is good enough for utmb and they dont consider that too low. I take the teas june 12, and im freaking out because in the past me and the teas did not get along for the science portion!

Yes, that's what they told me when I called. I talked to someone in the nursing admission's department and she said if I don't take the teas PSI they will not accept it. I did it just in case, but if you already took it i don't think they would make you take it again through PSI, it just doesn't make sense to me but I did it to be safe.
