Hello! I searched the site and seen no one made a topic about the people trying to enter in Fall 2013 so here is it :up: I am applying to UTMB for Fall 2013. I've written my personal statement and filled in the application. Now i'm waiting on nursing CAS to receive all my transcripts and to take my TEAS test on Jan. 8. I'm so nervous. How is everyone else coming along?

got accepted to texas tech this afternoon, utmb is my first choice, so im still praying to hear back from them this year

I went to Texas Tech for undergrad and LOVED it! They have a great nursing school, too. Though, if you're from around the Houston area, Lubbock is quite the drive. Really it's quite the drive from anywhere in TX unless you're already in west TX. Good luck, hopefully you'll still hear the answer you want from your #1 choice. Keep us updated!

Question to alll tht have been offered acceptance to utmb , once u accept the admission does utmb require u to pay a $100 placement fee or anything like tht to "secure ur spot" , the fee would be non refundable in the case u decide to later on down the line give up ur spot for another school of nursing. This happened to me at the institution I was offered acceptance and in the case I do hear from utmb *God willing* , then the $100 placement fee they required me to pay when I accepted their admission offer would go down the drain! So is this fee a common thing? Bcz I've me we heard of anything like this before...

Capi- There is no seat deposit for UTMB. :) Actually, none of the schools I applied to required one.. (TWU or UTHSC)

Congrats to all of those who have been accepted!!

There are still MANY MANY spots to be filled, so please do not lose hope if you haven't heard yet! Our spring semester just finished, so if I had to guess, this week should be busy in admissions!

Once you have been accepted, please send me your email address by PM on all nurses or at my utmb address (mariorda at utmb.edu). Email will probably be faster :)
