Hello,

I have recently applied in July 1 to UIW's Traditional BSN program for Spring 2015 term. I was wondering if anyone else that has applied has heard from them regarding admissions. Please and thank you.

Good luck everyone! (:

Omg yes the wait is killing me. Its officially been 2 months and two weeks. /: I've been checking my inbox a bit to much lol

I received a phone call today from the admissions office of the University and he told me that the nursing department has not mailed out acceptance letters yet ?

I received my letter today. What about you all?

I haven't received mine yet. Do you live in TX? I live in Maryland so I'm hoping to receive mine soon.

Hi Tanisha_wilson,

Ashleyy3, you may want to join the UTHSCSA Fall 2015 thread. I am posting info about UTHSCSA's processes in hopes of providing helpful tips from what we are experiencing.

Hello,

I had some questions about UIW.First i would like to say that I will be completely my pre-requistes for the nursing program by spring 2015 and be applying for the spring semester 2016.I found out that they are changing the HESI test to the TEAS V.Can anyone guide me to a great study guide book and tell what do they test you on like ,math, biology ,chemistry etc. to help prepare for the TEAS V.Also can anyone give me advice or some insight about the nursing program like TEAS score ,GPA (to be accepted),the cost, the instructors,is it friendly environment? Thanks in advance for the comments and advice

Sgranados89 you should definitely purchase the ATI study guide for the TEAS V and as well as the online practice exams that they offer. I found that it helped a lot. I prepared about two weeks prior to taking the exam and before I studied I was scoring mid 60s after studying and when I took the actual TEAS V I scored a 84.7 individual adjusted score. As far as GPA, it does have to be above the minimum to be considered competitive. The cost is pricey since it is a private institution I want to estimate about $45,000 for the two years. The student to teacher ratio is small which is good and I believe they have a good passing rate on the nclex. When I went to their information session they stated you needed to score proficient or higher on teas to be considered for admission and that pretty much if you had all requirements you'd make it as long as there was space and the max is 60ish. Good luck!

Hi RN's,

I am in my 3rd semester at UTHSCSA and wanted to know if you could share about your residency experience on the discussion listed as: Nursing > Texas NursingNursing Residency Programs in San Antonio

Any help is appreciated

I am going to apply to UIW for Spring 2017 as a transfer student. I was wondering what your score/GPA was when you applied for the program? Do you know what they weigh the most when considering applicants? Thank you!
