I read that. It's hard for them to know though if people who have already accepted back out to go to another school last minute. It would be nice to know how far down we are on that waiting list too. Oh well, only time will tell. Until then.... I will be logging in and checking this board. Good Luck!

Ok, so just heard that i will be getting a rejection letter. Everyone accepted (and more) that received a letter so no for the Houston campus, there will be no more acceptance letters going out. Maybe next time for me.

What about the people that accepted while they were waiting to hear from another school? I read several posts for Houston people that accepted, but were waiting to hear from another school and would later reject the TWU offer if they got accepted to their other school. Wonder how that works.... How did you find out you were getting a rejection letter?

If anyone hears from TWU Houston about being accepted for the second round please post something! I'm dying to know if I got accepted or... denied. Wahhhh! This is slowly but surely killing me.

What are your stats Kristiny? I know a lot of people are waiting to hear from other schools, and many have chosen the other schools, so there is still a lot of hope for those waiting to hear from TWU!

I received an email from Dallas. I have been corresponding with someone there for a while when she asked about my current status in the CC program I am in now.

Quoted from the email:

"The program was highly competitive this semester with a couple hundred more applications than normal. And based on the few declines received from the 1st round of admission letters sent out for Houston, no more acceptance letters will be going out. The Houston campus has met its limit and more."

Things could change if a lot of people reject after accepting but from this letter they accepted more than they had seats... just what I get out of it.

I received an email from Dallas. I have been corresponding with someone there for a while when she asked about my current status in the CC program I am in now.

Bummer :-( Does that apply to Dallas as well? I actually applied there. I guess there is just no way to know is there? I have already come up with a new plan, but there is still a small speck of hope glimmering since I haven't heard yes or no. Good luck to you in whatever happens, & thanks for sharing.

Still nothing, huh? I am right there with ya!! This is killing us...I sent an email to my Dallas adviser and she pretty much said ALOT of people aren't getting in this semester cause there are so many applicants...god only knows! I might have asked you this last time, but whats your back up plan? I'm working on one myself..lol. But I am trying to stay positive...since there is a second round going out...but who knows when.

Nope, nothing. I guess the industry is exploding, but they have a lack of teachers for programs, so they have to keep things small. Bummer for us. Then again, I am glad they have high standards, hopefully that will make a better nurse force. I didn't have an exact plan, but am working on some things now. Going to go back to work full time somewhere. I am also applying to Collin for their CNA/EKG/Phleobotomy cert (hopefully I can at least get in there). I plan on getting a job at a hospital after that. In the mean time I am thinking about re-taking A&PI, Micro & stats for A's instead of B's. I am also going to take the PSB exam for Collins ADN program and apply there, as well as try for TWU again. The way things are going, I am going to have to wait till 2013 to get in somewhere. If I can only do the ADN, I will just do a bridge program later for the BSN. I thought of UT Arlington, but would have to take Algebra, Tech. writing & Gen Chem, plus their Intro to nursing course before I can apply for their accelerated program. I am also going to look at Baylor in Dallas (only if I can get some financial aid). Everything happens for a reason, so I know everything will work out how it is supposed to. How about you?

Congrats on getting in both places :yeah: what other place are you going to go? How do you know if you were wait listed, do they tell you that?
