TWU Fall 2013 Applicants

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello everyone!

I am starting this thread... a year early. That is how much I want to be accepted into the Fall 2013 BSN program at TWU in Dallas. I am taking my TEAS on August 30 so that if I have to, I can take it again the following application period (after September 1). I have finished my prerequisites (last week of Summer AP2 right now, hurray).

I hope other people see this forum so that we can all talk and encourage each other about getting into the program (and be stressed out together)! Seriously hoping that this next year flies by! I Look forward to get to know other hopefuls!

Nanerz what did your adviser say?[/quote']

He predicted that this semester would have a lower applicant pool with a lot more people applying to the weekend program because they revamped it and it was better for people with jobs already.

I was just told it would be the last day of the month!! *nailbiting*

Me too!! These next 3 weeks are going to make me go crazy!! Lol

So how far is everyone's commute to campus?

I stay in Dallas but I will still be in traffic! What about you?

For the Houston campus, I'm about 10 minutes of walking distance from my work :) from my house, its about 30-45 depending on traffic

If y'all are accepted to Texas women's in Houston where do y'all plan on staying?

I'll be going to the Dallas campus and am going to be moving about 8 mins from that campus in a couple of months. Right now my commute would be about 45 mins.....if im lucky with traffic :dead:

We are in the same boat! I will be about 45 minutes away with traffic! I may move depending on my finances!!

I'll be at the Dallas campus (evening/weekend program). From work, its about 10-15 minutes. From home on the weekends, it will be about 30 minutes. No problem. I'll just be commuting to Dallas 7 days a week instead of 5.

I'm just trying to reduce any unnecessary stress that I can before I start the program because I know that it will be A LOT of stress once it gets going. So I figured traffic is one of those stresses that I can try to reduce. Another one is the cost, which I cannot change, but hopefully TWU's financial aid will be generous and help out too.

Does anyone know someone in the program who has received financial aid from TWU? Just wondering how much people are receiving. I have a previous degree so no Pell Grants for me...darn!

I receive financial aid from twu and I always have money left over for my books, gas, or any other expenses I may need. Did you apply for any scholarships?
