Hello, I am taking the TEAS V this Thursday and sooo nervous. I am taking the second practice test from the study guide tomorrow and trying not to worry too much... Anyone else applying to TWU-Dallas for Fall 2012?

@Anguyen21: Yeah u applied super early! But I'm excited and nervous all at the same time and can't believe this will last till April. Do u know if application statuses are sent out in the beginning of April usually or the end?

Does anyone have the ATI study manual. I'v been using Mcgraw-hill to study and I want to skim over the ATI manual.

Hello All!

Excited, nervous, and anxious can barely describe how I feel right now:eek:. Just took the TEAS, now I wait for the results. To all the TWU Fall 2012 hopefuls, I would like to say, good luck and lets do this!!!

Side-not----> Is Stats part of the "1st A attempt" category or is it just the science classes?

@SSRM, I knew it was a prereq but I didn't know if it was counted as part of the 1st attempt bump. I got a B in Stats but and A in everything else, so we'll see......

EBenson, are you currently at TWU? I don't think a B in Stats is going to hurt you with A's in Micro and Ap1 &2, 3 out of 4 prefs is impressive. Most people I have read of that got accepted had 2...

No, accepted but not taking any classes yet. I'm hoping I can take patho this summer. Do you know if its offered in the summer? I'm a little nervous about getting my TEAS score, but I'm hoping my A's will balance it out.

Yes, Patho is offered during the summer. What I don't know is if students can take it at the Dallas Center instead of Denton before starting Nursing School. I've read people saying that you can, that you can't, that you need permission from the Dallas center first, etc. (I haven't asked the advisors yet). I would like to take the course during the summer too. Even with Patho out of the way we would have a full load during Fall.

I would also prefer taking Patho prior to nursing school admission. When a friend of mine's was accepted for last Fall, she was able to complete Patho the summer before beginning at the Dallas campus. So I think as long as you are accepted you are eligible to take the available courses the summer prior.

Nice to know. I live relatively close to the Dallas Center but Denton would be a really long drive.
