It was recommended on the other page that we start a thread for TWU's Fall 2011 Dallas accepted nursing students. Here you go! Lets be cordial and get to know everyone. We are going to be doing the same thing and seeing one another for the next two years. I know I will have a lot of questions throughout this process. I think that we can help one another more than we know.

Let me start it off. Im Zeek. I am a post bac student with a degree in biology. Im originally from Louisiana.

I have also been trying to get into a patho class for the summer. I cannot do the in person because of work but you have to get special permission to be in the online. Does anyone know how to get that? I emailed the prof you have to speak to, but she just directed me to the M-R in person class.

I think online is just for the Online Programs at the school. No biggie!! Just looks like the fall will be a bit tougher! I can at least get started looking through the material in the book over the summer :)

Hi, Epoynter, I can't take patho this summer either. Work. So I will see you in class...

I know it would be nice to get it out of the way, but I think majority of people will be taking it in the fall anyway. I will look into the book in the summer as well and we can ask our classmates who take it in the summer how the class is.

So we are not allowed to take the online patho class? That is a complete bummer :crying2: Oh well it looks like my fall just got a little bit harder. Is anyone else working while doing school?

I'm working part-time during school & have an infant. I haven't had 8 hours of consecutive sleep since December which has been great training for nursing school.

well i work on the weekends (2-16hr shifts). i dont intend on quitting either. i think i can make it through the program and work as well. ive seen it done with several of my friends who are now nurses.

Same here. I work in a hospital and have seen it done too! Probably will be stressful, but I love my job and the people I work with!

im wondering.... where are the packages thats suppose to be sent through email. i guess since people are still being accepted it might take awhile right?

I haven't received mine yet either. Since the orientation is almost three weeks away, I expect it will be a little while longer before we get them.
