I will be graduating as an RN this December and was considering a move to San Antonio Texas. Could someone who is familar with the NICU RN payscale give me an idea what to expect starting out :wink2:

Also do you like working and living in San Antonio :D

Thank you so much.

I'm not sure if there is a difference from one specialty to another but I was just offered two positions with two different San Antonio Hospitals and they said the GN rate (meaning all GNs) at both hospitals was $21/hr plus shift differentials (which were different depending on which hospital) Things could change between now and December, but most of the hospitals I have spoken with give GNs a flat rate and only if you have work experience as a LVN or a good ammount of experience as a tech will they give you more (and by more, one hospital said 25cents more an hour)

Good luck!

Hey Kittypower. I work in a NICU in SA and as a new RN grad I started out at 21/hr plus shift differentials. I have now been there a year and it has gone up slightly.
