I am applying to PV for spring 2012. I notice that PV changed their deadline from September 1 to October 1. (I wonder why???) I turn in my transcripts last week. After my transcript was reviewed I was given a pre-nursing database with the following information:

-63 hours completed

-University GPA 3.18 (non-science course)

-Support Area GPA 3.53 (science course)

-Cumulative Department GPA 3.35

-HESI scores: Math 84, Reading 89, A&P 92, Grammer 92, and Critical Thinking 830.

Now, I have to wait patiently for a letter. I heard it takes up to 3-4 months.

If anybody else is applying for PV spring 2012 I would be more than glad to hear from you, and if you want, share your info with us.

(I am also applying at UT-Houston but I feel that my GPA is not high enough for their program.)

Hi,

I am applying this Spring 2012 but I got Pre nursing database said that incompleted 63 hrs before the deadline...Many people said that I need to complete before December, is that right or Do i need to complete before deadline?Oct 1st, 2011. I found out I am missing 2 classes which are COmputer and college Algebra, but fast time to complete 2 classes are Oct 20.....How can I supposed to do now, help me huhu

i think you have a good chance at pv, i applied but they gave me zeros on the gpa scale for my clep and ap credit by exam courses which brought it down too low to apply

I dont know wat happen to me just2 remaining class. But will finish till december.:( i dont take clep, what is in clep exam? Did you take hesi. Ap credit i got b for first one and a for ap2

clep is a credit by exam test where you can get class credit if you pass a test, and by AP, i meant advance placement in highschool

I got an x too because i'm taking two classes this fall. But I got my purple paper and mailed it back last week with a copy of my acceptance letter to the university. I emailed mrs. A and she said she received it.

its the upper division application. You need to email mrs A to see if she received your hesi scores if she did she will tell u u will get an updated student database with the purple application in the mail that you need to fill out n send back. Just incase to let them know I got accepted into the university I sent a copy of the letter along with it.

I'm meeting with Ms. A tomorrow to drop off my application and all of the paperwork :) I had Elsevier transfer my Hesi scores today. Yay. I'm way behind in PVAMU's application process......BUT, I just got my acceptance letter on Friday. I still have no clue what classes are being accepted for transfer. I hope Ms. A can look it up for me.

I just sent my purple form today =) Ughh guys I'm worried about my shots. Does anyone know how it works? Like are you supposed to have them done by now or by the semester begins? I was from Hong Kong and we had a different medical system there so I'm not sure what shots I need. I'm in the process of getting my hepatitis B shots. In fact, I'm getting my 2nd shot next week. Any info will be helpful!!! Thanks!
