Pharmacology: Is it beneficial if not a requirement??

hi everyone, i have already applied into the nursing program at el centro/northlake and am just waiting to hopefully get in spring 09. i want to take pharmacology this sem even if it is not a requirement in their program but i just need to know if it will be beneficial!!! should i take it or maybe just wait till when we do it in nursing school??? (i have finished all my co-reqs.)

Well yes.. if you're a nurse, you definitely need to take pharmacology. That's the main place you'll really learn the classifications of drugs and how/why they work. I'd be really surprised if it's NOT a pre-req for your nursing school, and I'm pretty sure it is for El Centro, but I could be wrong. I don't think it matters WHEN you take it, but I would sure take it either way!

YES. I think it should be a requirement. I can't imagine not taking it and being in nursing school. Do it if you have the opportunity!
